Here is what you can expect during the 8 Hour Full Day Tour of the South Kensington District of London.
We’ll meet at 10 AM at the Garden Cafe (outside), Victoria & Albert Museum for a “Welcome to South Kensington” meeting. You will be briefed about what to expect from this tour and how to make the best out of your visits. You can shoot your questions in the Q&A session that follows the briefing. The Museum holds many of the UK’s national collections and houses some of the greatest resources for the study of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance.

The Museum Restaurant, has been skilfully developed to match its lavish surroundings in the Exhibition Road Quarter and uses innovative and unique influences from around the world to create fresh, healthy, natural and low-gluten dishes. Mealtime tarts, open sandwiches and salads will be a perfect setting for the afternoon.
Enjoy your lunch with your Curator/Tour Leader and indulge in some art discussions. If you wish to have some wine, it can be served on extra payment.
South Kensington is a cultural hub overflowing with art and design attractions. Post lunch, our Curator will lead you to three top Exhibitions in the district that will include galleries like Purdy Hicks, Cadogan Contemporary, Lisson gallery, Pontone gallery, Saatchi gallery. Most of these galleries are showing a wide range of work from emerging practitioners to the most internationally recognised artists, providing a place for them to experiment and an open platform for them to be seen and heard.
After the tour of the galleries of South Kensington, its time for some lighter stuff and a visit to the famous store Harrods in the nearby area of Knightsbridge. The day ends with summing up and feedback along with attractive offers for other art tours of London and other art destinations of the world.
Claire McCaslin-Brown graduated with an MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art – London in 2005. Her more than ten years at various galleries and art start-ups included a role as marketing director for Sotheby’s Institute of Art, the premier provider of art history and art business education. She currently works as an independent art adviser for clients in London and worldwide. She has a network of art specialists which covers many aspects of the market including professionals working in art law, insurance, all aspects of due diligence, galleries, dealers & auction houses, art journalists, writers, independent art consultants.
With this experience and knowledge, Claire becomes an effective tour leader and she comes across as someone who has managed to amass a lot of information from various places and time periods which she is too happy to impart.
